RF3D Training is the training arm of RF3 Design Limited - a mechanical design company located in the North East of England with a wealth of real world experience developing products for companies in a variety of sectors.
This varied work has meant they have had to become proficient in a wide range of different CAD design and engineering tools including mechanical CAD software systems, 3D Scan data processing, inspection and reverse engineering tools.
Over the past Decade we have delivered on site training for a range of different systems - all of which we have real world experience of using. More recently we have been looking to offer that experience more widely and so we have launched our first online training course to give new CAD users an introduction to working with Alibre Atom 3D.
We offer in person taught courses for individuals and groups of up to 8 people either on site at a customers offices or we can arrange training at a nearby hotel with conferencing facilities.
We can also offer 1 to 1 and small group training sessions remotely over zoom.
If you are interested in an in person or remote training course, please send us a message via our contact page for more details.
Web based training - we are now offering a web based training course for Alibre Atom 3D, with more courses to follow in future. Please visit our store to access our online courses.
Alibre Design and Alibre Atom 3D
Alibre has been our primary CAD tool since RF3 Design ltd was founded in 2009. We have been providing on site training courses to Alibre customers since 2013, and have recently just launched our new web based training course for Alibre Atom 3D (please see our Store page for more details).
RF3 has extensive hands on experience using the Geomagic software suite working with 3D scan data for a range of projects including reverse engineering and scan based inspection.
We have provided technical support, product implementation and training services for Geomagic Design X, Geomagic for Solidworks, Geomagic Control X and Geomagic Wrap.
We have provided training courses both in person and remotely, working closely with customers and creating custom materials to suit their specific use case of the software.
RF3 has worked with QuickSurface (also available under the 'ExModel' brand name when purchased with Shinning 3D scanners) for several years, providing technical support, product implementation and training courses to customers wanting to create clean 3D CAD data from 3D scans.
Thanks to our wealth of experience with 3D CAD and Reverse Engineering we were able to provide feedback to QuickSurface during the software's early development which resulted in several improvements and new tools being added to the software.
